Procrastinating Studying For Finals, Part 1: Rubik’s Cube Solve Time Lapse

Yup, it’s that time of the semester again.

The time where anything and everything can, and will, become a distraction.

From tomorrow until the next coming Thursday, I have 6 final exams. SIX.


I know why, because deep, deep, DEEP down inside, I must secretly love not sleeping and stress. Some people work better under pressure, right?

Anyways, last night I decided I should start studying for my Logic final that I have tomorrow. I made one crucial mistake. I told myself I was motivated enough to go home and study in my bedroom rather than stay on campus in one of the engineering lounges or 24 hour labs.

Nope. I caved worse than a shack in an earth quake.

So, instead of studying at 1am, like I was supposed to, I started playing around with my Rubik’s Cube sitting on my desk.

(Background: I have a huge collection of Rubik’s Cubes and have been playing around with them for almost 10 years.)

Then, my motivation switched from studying for an exam to……… “Hey, I wonder what a time lapse of solving a Rubik’s Cube would look like?!”.

I recently got a “new to me” 2014 GoPro Hero with time lapse settings. So yup, I spent an hour doing that last night before getting back to studying and it was SO worth it! It looks cooler than I expected!

Yeah, that’s how my night went. Now, I’m procrastinating by writing this blog post ;).
